Welcome to the 1-26 National Championships 2024!

Hosted by the Hamilton Soaring Club, we are thrilled to invite you to the heart of Texas for an unparalleled soaring adventure. From July 31 to August 8, 2024, Hamilton will become the epicenter of competitive gliding, set against the backdrop of its rich aviation history and scenic landscapes.

Our Journey: Founded on the shared passion for flight by pioneers at Schlemeyer Field in Odessa, Texas, the Hamilton Soaring Club has grown from a visionary group into a vibrant community of 65 members. Since 2016, our mission has been to spread the love of flight, with a special focus on inspiring the region's youth. As a testament to our commitment, we're proud to organize this year's nationals, celebrating both our heritage and the spirit of competition.

The Ideal Venue: The chosen battleground, KMNZ, is steeped in history as a former Army Air Force Glider Training Detachment site. Today, it presents an obstruction-free landscape with ample space for contest operations and a forgiving environment for pilots. The surrounding farmland offers numerous safe landing options, ensuring a contest as safe as it is competitive. With "Texas Strong" weather conditions expected, pilots are set for an exhilarating challenge.
